 About RSD

Education is the cornerstone of a healthy community and a strong democracy. We believe every child has the right to an exceptional education. The Rochester School for the Deaf helps deaf and hard-of-hearing children reach their full learning potential by transcending language barriers that can impede learning. Many of the programs and tools RSD faculty and staff utilize to overcome these barriers and facilitate learning are the result of generous gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations. Gifts to RSD are used to support academic enrichment and student activities, as well as family support and education.

If you are interested in making a difference in child's life by supporting RSD's learning initiatives, or you would like to learn more about how you can help our students succeed, please contact Dr. Harold Mowl at (585) 544-1240.
