Cook joins fellow NDIAA Board member and RSD alumnus Christopher Hamilton, ’90, athletic director at Texas School for the Deaf, and five other Board members representing athletic programs at schools for deaf and hard of hearing students in California, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico and Alabama.
“I would like to give a warm welcome to Mary Cook of RSD,” said NDIAA Chairperson Mr. Len Gonzales, of Fremont, California. “Her inclusion brings a great balance of small school participation to the NDIAA Board and equity of gender also.” The NDIAA includes athletic administrators, athletic directors, student life directors, and coaches from schools for deaf and hard of hearing students across the country, who shared the same desire to give recognition and honor individual and team achievement. A goal of NDIAA members is to actively collaborate and network with each other to make the athletic experience as beneficial as possible for today’s deaf and hard of hearing student-athletes.
