RSD PSA Holiday Party 12/07/09
More than 150 Rochester School for the Deaf staff and students, along with many their family members, attended the RSD Parent Staff Association annual Holiday Party. It was held on Monday evening December 7, 2009, at the school. Everyone gathered in Forrester Hall for a delicious assortment of foods from Outback Steakhouse, topped off with special treats delivered by our very own Signing Santa Claus. After dinner everyone went to the Learning Resource Center in Westervelt Hall for special holiday gift shopping at the Book Fair. The evening for families and friends was made even more special with special presentations and performances in the Westervelt Hall auditorium. PSA Treasurer Mr. Guillame Chastel introduced legendary Deaf actor Mr. Patrick Graybill who performed “T’was The Night Before Christmas” in beautiful ASL. Next, PSA President Mrs. Theresa Doughty presented past PSA Treasurer Mrs. Patti Wink with a small token of appreciation for her volunteer service to the PSA and RSD. The evening concluded with two wonderful skits performed by RSD children: “Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Handshape Stories,” and “Just a Deaf Persons Thoughts.”
