ASL Classes

RSD’s American Sign Language (ASL) Signs for All (SFA) classes are available for RSD parents and families in the community with members who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. SFA also benefits members of the community at-large, including employers and companies with staff who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, as well as professionals who work with individuals who are deaf and hard-of-hearing. Community groups who wish to have a class located more conveniently, may call the Outreach Center to make arrangements for a class to occur at their site.

SCPI Evaluations

For people who are interested or whose jobs required knowledge about their individual skill level with American Sign Language, we have the SCPI evaluation. The Sign Communication Proficiency Interview (SCPI) evaluation provides a measure of a person’s ability to communicate using sign language. Our SCPI evaluations are scheduled to occur once monthly and an appointment can be arranged by contacting the RSD Outreach Center.
